I have had those, the 3 buckle men's Fusion, the spiritblade or purple thingy skates that are womens which I forgot the name of. I purchased the Twisters 243 because they are the style of the original Lightnings and more. They are MY ultimate skate. THANK YOU Rollerblade! They fit like bedroom slippers and move like a dream. I move out with them. Fabulous! I don't say this often but 10 stars... forget 5 stars. Nice when some companies get back to basics.... I love this skate. Thank you !

Skorpion Sports Quadline Street Skates Review

(More customer reviews)The quadlines are great for recreational outdoor skating. The 10mm large wheels roll over uneven pavement with ease. The shocks provide a smooth ride. The extra wide trucks provide lots of stability, on the other hand make it difficult to make tight turns. The right skate has two back brakes, similar to inline skates (regular quad skates have front brakes), making stops easy.

You will get a lot of attention in these as they definitely look cool and unconventional. I get stopped all the time when I'm skating on these by people asking questions about them. Some of the comments I've gotten were: Cool, these are like cars for your feet!

In summary, if you're looking to skate outdoors recreationally these are the skates for you. If you're looking to skate for fitness, these are NOT for you. You will not get much of a leg or cardio workout with these. I've skated up and down hill with these and didn't even break a sweat.

Chicago Bullet Quad Speed Skates Review

(More customer reviews)I have had nothing but trouble with these skates. I got them as a Christmas present because I wanted to try out for the local roller derby league and thought I should get some practice under my belt before-hand since I haven't skated in 15 years.

The first time I wore the skates I barely made it around the rink once because some of the wheels weren't spinning and the trucks were so loose they were actually touching the base of the boot and wore a grove into the plastic! I had everything adjusted by someone who knows what they're doing and they noticed the bearings were smashed but thought they'd be OK for what I needed.

The skates still made me feel extra clumsy, like I was tipping over (by this time I had used the rentals enough to know I could get around OK).I tried to skate through it and only spent about an hour and a half on them altogether. When I got home, I realized that the whole skate was bent which was why I felt like I was leaning (I was!) and also why the wheels were touching the edges of the boot. Oh, and the wheels were actually fraying, but that was the least of my safety issues.

Bottom line, for $50 no it's not worth the struggling and risk of injury that they brought. I ended up buying some Riedell R-3's at the suggestion of some veteran skaters and I couldn't be happier. They cost a bit more but are so worth it when it means I'm not constantly falling and cursing my feet!

They get the 1 star because the boots were comfortable and because I don't think you can give no stars. Maybe these would be OK skates for children, but other than that I wouldn't waste my money.

Riedell R3 Jam Skates Quad Skates - Black Review

(More customer reviews)I have had these skates for over 2 derby seasons and they have held up very well for me.They are light and comfortable when I've found other boots to be too heavy for me to pick up speed.I don't recommend them to girls over 150 lbs, because they will probably not last 7 months.I think mine have only lasted long because I weigh less.I have beat these to death and they are now being held together with duct tape, but I still Love them. If you are considering them for derby, upgrading the wheels is a must.

K2 SPORTS Junior Moto Skates Review

(More customer reviews)Some may flinch at the 100.00 price tag, but you do get what you pay for. Bought these for my 9-year old daughter when she grew out of her old K2's. There are just really well-made skates with great wheels and high ankle support. If you kid likes to skate and then upgrade from"Target/Wal-Mart" skates to these. We did and were amazed at how much better she skated.
